Agent 007 Arrives Early

Restart, Cassius’s sixth life.
Xiu Nan controlled the character Cassius to crawl out of the mud and run along the street. He arrived at the spot where he’d stolen a car in his previous life, intending to repeat the trick. Taking the bus was too slow—better to steal a sedan and drive himself.
Around the corner, a black sedan was parked.
Assassin Cassius crept up stealthily and used his theft skill, swiftly unlocking the car door.
He slid into the driver’s seat, ready to drive off when a middle-aged, bald man with a cigarette in his mouth approached from the side.
[NPC: Golden Ram Car Owner]
“Oh, so you’re the unlucky one.”
The man rushed over and reached to open the car door.
An interactive interface popped up.
“As a thief, you’ve been caught in the act by the owner. To avoid enjoying free meals and lodging in prison, I think you should do something now.”
A. Remain silent: ╭∩╮ (for you)
B. Drive off immediately: |•'-'•)و✧ (good job)
C. Open the door suddenly and knock him out
D. Pull him into the car by force
“D”
Click—the driver’s door swung open.
Suddenly, a large hand reached out from inside the car. The bald man let out a startled cry before being yanked inside.
Thud—the door slammed shut.
Only a still-burning cigarette remained on the ground.
“Hmph! Help… aaaaaah! Gah!”
The sedan shook violently, then fell silent again.
Five minutes later, on the city’s camphor avenue.
A car cruised smoothly along, a man in a suit at the wheel, cigarette between his fingers.
The wind stirred the trees, white smoke curling, the cigarette’s ember glowing bright.
With a clatter, the car passed over a speed bump.
In the back seat, the bald uncle, sleeping sweetly like a baby, rolled off his seat onto the floor.
Face to the carpet, he remained deeply “asleep.”
Assassin Cassius glanced back coldly, flicked the ash, opened the window, and tossed the cigarette butt out.
Crescent City, West District, near Maple Leaf Street.
A sedan slowly entered an underground parking lot.
“Press ‘F’ for a heavy blow to deepen the coma.”
Assassin Cassius, sitting in the back seat, raised his fist and delivered a series of intimate contacts.

[Status: Moderate Coma]
[Duration: Five hours]
That should be enough. A severe coma would cause irreversible brain damage for the NPC, such as concussion or worse.
Besides, this car didn’t have a dashcam installed, so Xiu Nan didn’t need to worry about Cassius being wanted.
As for why there was no dashcam, just look at the bald guy lying on the floor—he probably wasn’t up to any good.
He pushed open the car door and headed toward Maple Leaf Street.
This time, with a clear target, Xiu Nan went straight home, wasting almost no time along the way. Compared with riding the bus in his previous life, he arrived more than forty minutes faster—a true feat of speed!
He raised his watch to check the time: 15:34.
Cassius stood at the same spot as last time.
The landmark for his home was five hundred meters away, but the detection system didn’t activate quickly as it had before.
Xiu Nan’s brows furrowed; he had a guess.
He moved the character forward, stopping after nearly a hundred meters. No red dots appeared on the mini-map!
This meant the assassins hadn’t yet arrived at Cassius’s house!
Excellent! Xiu Nan felt invigorated.
He’d already thought of a thousand ways to ambush them!
First, according to the game’s background, Cassius had been killed by the △△ organization. So these assassins searching the house would never expect a dead man to crawl out of the earth and be resurrected!
That meant, while searching Cassius’s home, their guard would be extremely low—no one would expect anyone to be there on a weekend.
Unless, of course, the housekeeper returned for something she’d forgotten.
But a housekeeper with no combat ability was easily dealt with and hardly worth the attention of three assassins.
If Xiu Nan controlled Cassius to ambush inside the house ahead of time, he’d definitely give them a surprise!
A… super-invincible surprise!
“Hehe…” Xiu Nan chuckled wickedly in front of the screen.
The thought of hiding and ambushing people, something he couldn’t experience in real life, was exhilarating!
This was the true joy of gaming.
Assassin Cassius sprinted, avoiding people on the street, winding his way to the wall.
Yes, Xiu Nan still chose to climb over.
Not out of personal preference, but out of necessity and caution. After all, his opponents were three killers of near world-class caliber, with keen insight and professionalism.
He really feared leaving traces by opening and closing doors, alerting them and spoiling a perfect start.
So, no front door—only the back,
First climb the wall, then climb the window.
Just as before, never take the usual path.

Cassius slipped into the housekeeper’s room like a cat sneaking fish, glancing about nervously for fear of being discovered.
Once the master of this residence, he now crept about like a thief. Who was to blame for this?
If the story character Cassius could speak, he’d surely offer a warm, genial greeting to the △△ organization.
And present them with a bouquet of fragrant roses, finishing with a smiling flourish on the suona.
Click—the door opened.
A tall figure in a suit entered.
Cassius switched his viewpoint, scanning the living room.
Assassin B was sitting on the long sofa.
The character waited. Xiu Nan began to ponder.
First, he needed to choose the right spot for an ambush. He wasn’t sure about the first floor, but the second floor was clear: Assassin A and Assassin C were in Cassius’s and Robin’s bedrooms.
So, they would certainly enter those rooms. If he hid in a corner, he could easily catch someone!
Xiu Nan had already planned: kill one assassin with a sneak attack, then start meditation time.
Rush out to finish off the other assassin upstairs.
Then head down and take out Assassin B.
Perfect—plan achieved!
Xiu Nan rubbed his face and decided to proceed as planned.
Assassin Cassius moved forward a few steps, then suddenly stopped. He shifted the viewpoint and looked down at the floor.
Thanks to the diligent housekeeper, Cassius’s floors were spotless. Now, as the character walked, faint black-yellow mud marks appeared.
A lesson learned.
Xiu Nan immediately controlled Cassius:
Step one, remove shoes and socks.
Step two, wash the soles clean.
Step three, mop the floor with a damp mop.
Step four, check for any flaws.
Step five, open the windows to speed up drying.
Perfect! A man living alone must have many life skills. Xiu Nan had always believed this.
Cassius was probably that kind of man too…
Wait.
Cassius seemed to have a daughter with him, so he wasn’t exactly a lonely old man—just a single father.
Oh, the joke’s on me…
Xiu Nan, feeling melancholy, lit a cigarette, smoke swirling around him.
