Damn!

This girl’s brain must be out of whack—talking big without any thought.

The factory belongs to her family; how could Manager Liu just fire me over one careless comment from her?

I thought to myself, once Manager Liu comes over, I’ll explain everything clearly, and there won’t be any problem.

Manager Liu approached me, glanced at me briefly, and said, “I think your name is Zhao Gang.”

“Yes,” I replied, about to explain, but Manager Liu found my name on the roster, simply crossed it out, and said, “Alright, you’re fired. Don’t bother coming in this afternoon.”

That sentence hit me like a bolt from the blue, leaving me dazed!

Just because of that young girl’s flippant remark, I was fired!

I couldn’t believe it!

I had traveled all the way from the Northeast to Harbor City, just to find a menial job.

And now, I hadn’t even worked a minute before losing it.

“Country bumpkin, do you regret it now?”

I heard a voice nearby and turned my head.

The girl who had ruined my job was standing there, chin raised arrogantly, looking down on me.

She asked again, “Do you want the job? If you do, then beg me.”

Beg you?

I’d rather beg your mother!

I sat quietly beside my bag, doing nothing.

You scared me on your motorcycle, mocked me, and now you’re bullying me?

What infuriated me most was her haughty attitude, as if she could manipulate me at will.

As if I were a beggar, pleading for her mercy!

“Damn it!”

I snapped, cursing without restraint, “You idiot!”

Her face turned pale at my fierce glare; she stumbled backward two steps, almost falling.

Manager Liu and the security guard nearby glared at me, shouting for me to step aside.

The girl, now emboldened, straightened up and glared back at me.

Perhaps embarrassed to be frightened by me, she pointed at my nose and shouted in anger, “Hit him!”

“This bumpkin dares to insult me!”

“Beat him up!”

Fine!

Really fine!

The bullying won’t stop!

I didn’t say another word. I rolled up my sleeves, fixed my gaze on Manager Liu and the security guard.

Whoever dared to make a move, I’d take them on!

But neither Manager Liu nor the guard was in a hurry; they just stared silently.

After a few seconds, Manager Liu turned his back to me and whispered something to the girl.

I vaguely caught the gist.

Manager Liu was saying that they were still recruiting workers; with so many on-site, a fight would look bad. It’s better just to fire me and be done with it.

The girl shot me a resentful glare and threatened, “You better not run into me again, or you’re dead meat!”

After threatening me, she jumped on her motorcycle and stormed into the factory grounds.

Manager Liu and the guard didn’t even glance at me, immediately returning to the recruitment work.

I stood at the factory gate, watching them.

Though the troublemaker had left, bigger problems awaited me.

No job—what now?

How would I make money?

How would I face my cousin and his wife?

Honestly, it was my first time traveling far and working, and after such an incident, I was completely stunned and at a lossI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
