Chapter Ninety-Four

The moment Night Azure saw that blade of light, he turned at once and looked toward the doorway in delight. There, standing at the entrance, was a slight figure he knew with utter certainty.

"Ah Ye!"

Moe flashed in a blur to Night Azure's side. The moment she saw the wounds covering him from head to toe, fury surged through her at once.

She would not spare those who had hurt him. Not one of them.

"Moe, are you all right? Did that woman do anything to you?" Night Azure searched her anxiously. Though she had changed clothes, he could see no sign that she had been harmed, and still he could not relax.

At his words, Moe felt a sharp ache rise in her heart.

"I'm fine. It's you."

She reached out carefully, touching him lightly as if to determine how many of his bones had been broken.

"Don't touch me. I'm filthy."

Night Azure shifted back, avoiding her hand.

He did not want his own dirtiness to soil her hands.

Moe only shook her head in silence. Then she supported him, easing his body against hers, and carefully removed the restraints binding him.

After examining his injuries closely, the heaviness in Moe's heart deepened. She silently swore that she would make certain he was freed from this pain as soon as possible.

But before that, she had to ensure that the ones who had hurt Night Azure would not get away.

Seeing that she insisted on letting him lean against her, Night Azure stopped struggling. He simply made sure not to let his weight press too heavily on her. The familiar fresh scent lingering at Moe's throat made him feel indescribably safe, yet at the same time something inside him began to stir.

"Come out, Zhong."

The bright, girlish voice rang out in the night.

Hearing someone call for him, Zhong hurried out from the inner room.

The instant he emerged, he saw that Night Azure had been rescued. Beside him stood the same little girl in a puffy dress—the very one Wanqiu Wenyue had taken away earlier, the girl who had not awakened no matter what.

"Were you the one who killed my men?" Zhong found it unbelievable, but compared with Moe, he found it even harder to believe that Night Azure still had the strength left to kill anyone.

"Are you Zhong?" Moe ignored his question and asked in a cold voice.

Night Azure glanced at her in surprise when he heard that tone, so devoid of warmth.

He had never seen Moe like this before.

But soon he withdrew his gaze. No matter what Moe became, it did not matter. He had long ago set his heart on her. Whatever form she took, he would accept her.

"What, little girl, are you planning to avenge Night Azure?" Zhong sneered.

Even with her face cold and expressionless, before she released her killing intent, she still looked harmless.

"Is he Zhong?" Seeing that the other man still did not answer her directly, Moe turned and asked Night Azure instead.

"Yes."

"Good."

She nodded.

The reason she kept confirming his identity was not because she feared killing the wrong person, but simply because she did not want the true culprit to escape.

Now that she had finally confirmed the person she sought stood before her, Moe no longer suppressed the killing intent in her heart. A powerful aura burst forth in an instant, pinning Zhong so firmly that he could not move.

With a flick of her finger, a black sphere shot directly into his body.

A scream rang out as Zhong crumpled to the ground.

"Don't you like crippling people's abilities? Then taste it yourself."

Moe looked down coldly at his writhing agony.

She did not know whether Night Azure had suffered this much after drinking the potion, but she knew Zhong was definitely not enjoying himself now. The dark power she had planted inside him would not erase his ability all at once. Instead, it would slowly, bit by bit, devour it, peeling his power away from within. Such pain was no less than being torn apart by sinew and bone. Worse still, that agony came not from the body, but from the mind. So even if he could not bear it, he would not pass out, nor would he die from the pain.

He would only remain conscious as he felt his ability being devoured little by little.

"I won't kill you. How you die will be decided by Ah Ye himself."

As she spoke, Moe set up a barrier around him, so no one could come rescue him.

Only after doing all this did Moe reach out and lift Night Azure into her arms. She had to get him back for treatment at once.

Night Azure was startled by her action. It was the first time in his life he had ever been carried like this, and by a girl, no less. The embarrassment made him want to go down immediately, but his body had no strength at all. In the end, he could only console himself awkwardly: there was no one here he knew anyway. If he had to be ashamed, then so be it.

Moe had just reached the doorway with Night Azure in her arms when someone came in from outside. It was none other than Wanqiu Wenyue, who had gone to apprehend the others.

Wanqiu Wenyue froze the moment she saw them. Standing at the threshold, she stared blankly at the little loli Moe carrying the tall, broad-shouldered Night Azure, completely unable to react.

Moe, however, glanced at the person in her hand and asked, "Is this Little Four?"

"Yes, he's Little Four!"

Good. So both masterminds had been caught.

Moe nodded in satisfaction, then told Wanqiu Wenyue, "Throw him into the barrier first so he can keep Zhong company. Once I've finished treating Ah Ye, I'll deal with them."

"Huh? Oh!"

Wanqiu Wenyue reacted a beat later and nodded woodenly.

Watching Moe's departing figure, only one thought filled her mind: so she wasn't just a little ice-princess, she was also a strength monster.

But that scene from just now had been so adorable.

As expected, a princess rescuing a prince was the true path.

Oh no, this was bad. If she kept thinking about it, she was going to get a nosebleed.

Wanqiu Wenyue quickly raised a hand to her nose, confirming that no blood had come out before regaining her sultry, mature-woman bearing. With Little Four in hand, she strode toward the only ball of light in the room.

This should be the barrier the little loli had mentioned, right?

Without thinking twice, Wanqiu Wenyue casually tossed Little Four toward the sphere. The moment his body touched it, it passed straight through.

Confirming that he could not escape, Wanqiu Wenyue turned and left. She still had to find the remaining three people as instructed by the little loli.

Moe carried Night Azure back to Wanqiu Wenyue's room and laid him gently on the bed.

"Ah Ye, bear with it a little longer. I'll treat you now."

"Don't worry, I can endure it."

Night Azure assumed she meant the potion that had caused him such agonizing pain, and instead tried to reassure her.

Moe had no intention of giving him that potion again. His injuries were already severe; if she used it now, he would truly be tortured to death. Besides, that potion had no effect on the wounds inside him.

Unable to bear seeing him tormented by pain any longer, Moe decided to use another method.

She took a vial of magic ink from her spatial storage and quickly drew a magic circle two meters wide on the floor. When it was finished, she helped Night Azure into the circle and had him lie down inside it.

Though Night Azure did not understand what she was doing, he trusted her and did not ask.

Fearing that her power alone would not be enough, Moe took out two white crystals and placed them inside the magic circle. Then she produced an amplifying magic staff, and only then were all the preparations complete.

Standing beside Night Azure, Moe lifted the staff high and began drawing on the light element within her body to activate the array. The light-element power amplified by the staff, together with the power stored within the crystals, surged rapidly into the circle. Brilliant white radiance quickly enveloped Night Azure, beginning to mend his injuries.

Moe's own light-element power could not cast healing arts directly. If she wished to heal another, she had to use the magic circle to convert the light power within her body first. And beyond the loss incurred in that conversion, the circle itself had a major flaw: once activated, it would inevitably drain all the light-element power from the caster's body. It would not stop otherwise.

Because of that flaw, Moe usually preferred to endure the side effects of Siriel's potion rather than use this circle for healing.

Watching Night Azure's wounds knit rapidly closed, his twisted arms and legs return swiftly to normal, and even the old scars on his body vanish, Moe finally felt a little relief.

When the white light faded, her body swayed slightly, and she steadied herself on the staff. Only then did she look toward Night Azure, only to find him curled up tightly on the bed.

"Ah Ye, what's wrong?"

Could it be that the energy had not been enough and the injuries had not been fully healed?

Moe hurried forward to check on him.

But the instant she approached, Night Azure pulled her into his arms and held her tightly.

The drug's effects, which had been suppressed by pain, now surged uncontrollably through his body once the pain vanished. And as Moe drew near, sensing her scent, Night Azure could no longer rein in the lust raging within him. Murmuring her name, he kissed her face again and again.

"Moe... Moe..."

Feeling the heat of his skin and the hard, burning need between his legs, Moe finally remembered what Wanqiu Wenyue had told her: Little Four and the others had given Night Azure two different drugs in succession. One was meant to strip away his ability, the other to forcefully rouse desire within the human body. The second was said to be extremely domineering; even after the induced desire was released, it would not help. One had to endure its torment for three full days before it would fade.

"Ah Ye, hold on a little longer. I'll get the drug out of your system."

As she spoke, Moe sent dark-element power into Night Azure's body, devouring the two kinds of drug effects within him.

Because the process of devouring the drugs would inevitably also consume some of his own energy, Night Azure quickly discovered that as his desire receded, his body too was becoming weak.

This was fine. At least he would not hurt her.

Night Azure lay helplessly on the floor, panting as he struggled to calm the desire surging through him.

By the time Moe had completely devoured the drug's effects, she was drenched in sweat and exhausted. Climbing out of his embrace, all she wanted was to rest for a little while.

But it was not over yet. Though healing magic could mend his injuries, it could not cleanse the filth from his body. She could not let him continue lying there like this.

She took a bathtub from her spatial storage, filled it with water, and added a firestone to heat it to the proper temperature. Only then did she place him in the tub and use a pleasantly scented plant extract to wash away the grime from his body.

Moe only thought that he could not move and that she naturally needed to clean him thoroughly. She never imagined how much stimulation her actions would bring Night Azure.

Feeling Moe's boneless little hands wandering over his body, smelling his own scent gradually turning the same as hers, the just-subsided blaze of desire surged once more out of control.

As Night Azure watched Moe washing him, a sudden realization dawned in his heart.

He wanted her, and it had nothing to do with the drugs. He truly desired her.

Once he understood this, the very first thing Night Azure did after his body could move again was pull Moe back into his arms.
