Chapter Ninety: The Future of Biometric Sensing Technology
At the Fuyun Science and Technology Industrial Park research institute, Li Fu, dressed in a white lab coat, was talking with Yan Zhang, who was in charge of biorecognition research. The company currently had only one medicine, a treatment for AIDS, and that was its sole source of product revenue. Even so, it could still bring in twenty billion yuan a month.

One might even very quickly think of the legend of the Moon Goddess, or of Apollo’s landing on the Moon.
And this was far beyond what a computer could compare with. No matter how fast it was, a computer remained rigid, able only to execute according to its program. The so-called artificial intelligence of today was merely a little better than an inflexible machine; it could hardly be called intelligent at all.
Of course, this did not diminish the power of computers. In single-minded calculation, in the reading and storage of information, the speed of the human brain was far inferior to that of a computer.
“We have also done related research, but at present it always feels like trying to see flowers through a fog, impossible to make out clearly. We still have no way to distinguish the primary from the secondary information contained in biowaves, and reading abstract information is especially prone to error.”
Yan Zhang shook his head. Mentioning this issue, he could not help but furrow his brow. They were already at the final step of biorecognition technology, yet they had been blocked at this very point. One could imagine the urgency and frustration building inside Yan Zhang and the others.
“It’s all right. Take it slowly. As long as we keep searching and exploring, we will always discover some pattern within it.”
Li Fu smiled and comforted him. In his heart, he already understood clearly that Yan Zhang and the others had nearly reached the final stage of biorecognition research. As long as they could accurately read the information contained in human brainwaves, biorecognition technology could be declared a success.

And once this technology was realized, the next product in Li Fu’s mind could essentially be brought out: biorecognition devices, with the two most important ones being the biorecognition computer and the biorecognition phone.
With biorecognition devices, all content and information would be transmitted directly to the human brain through wave signals. Human operation of computers or phones would also be completed entirely through brainwaves, without needing hands or speech, achieving a leap forward that would mark an era.
There was also a more advanced and high-end biorecognition communication technology. Once this technology matured, human communication would become extremely fast and far more secure, because every person’s brainwaves are entirely different, just like each person’s DNA.
For Li Fu, once this technology matured, Fuyun Technology Group could formally enter the electronics industry and overturn the computer and mobile phone sectors in one stroke.
If one no longer needed to stare at a computer screen to watch movies, go online, or play games, if one no longer needed to type or operate with one’s hands, and could even achieve faster input, then once such a computer appeared, all traditional computers would be swept away without a trace.
If one no longer needed to stare at a tiny phone screen, yet could still make calls, use voice, browse the internet, chat, and so on, and no longer had to laboriously type or send voice messages on that tiny screen, but could instead read information from the phone with closed eyes and even chat with friends in real time, then once such a phone emerged, it would, without question, also herald the end of all traditional mobile phone industries.
And more crucially, the current trend in technology had already been moving toward combining phones and computers into one. Of course, many features were still lacking in today’s feature phones, after all they were so small. But if biorecognition technology were used, then phones and computers could truly merge into a perfect whole.
In the future, there would be no need to distinguish between phone and computer at all. One electronic product would be enough, capable of handling all functions of both computers and phones, achieving a perfect fusion and an earthshaking leap in development.
