This was supposed to be a very ordinary Thanksgiving dinner, but it had turned into the most enviable one in the entire town. Because of Qiu Fengyu, these people had never imagined they could have such a lively party together on Thanksgiving.

Although people left one by one after the dinner party, leaving behind a mess, Qiu Fengyu was quite touched. He had successfully earned the acceptance of many people, and they valued him more and more, making him an essential member of the town. This was the lovable side of the townspeople—they were full of human warmth.

"Do you need any help?" April asked, watching Qiu Fengyu busy at work.

Qiu Fengyu turned back to look at her, spread his hands, and smiled, "I've got it. If I needed help, I wouldn't have sent Tim home. Uh... this time, you two can sleep in the bed. The bathroom is over there," he said, pointing to the inner room.

"Thank you!" Racy also came over, leaning against the wall, and smiled at Qiu Fengyu.

Qiu Fengyu nodded without saying anything and began to tidy up. The two beauties went to take a shower. There was nothing to spark any wild imagination; after they finished washing up, they went straight to bed.

After cleaning up, Qiu Fengyu took a shower himself and then sat downstairs, lost in thought.

When he opened his eyes in the morning, it was already bright.

Qiu Fengyu rubbed his head, feeling none of the grogginess that usually accompanies drinking, and went to wash up before heading out for a run. As for the two beauties sleeping in his attic, he didn't even bother to take a look.

There was nothing to see. No matter how beautiful a woman is, she is still just a woman. Ukraine is a place that produces beauties, so even if Racy was prettier than the women he usually saw, that was all there was to it. It wasn't enough to make Qiu Fengyu act sycophantic or attentive. There was no need.

Because no matter what, a woman like Racy wouldn't decide to get involved with him just because he was attentive, let alone hit the sheets. And April was a walking disaster; he didn't want any deep entanglement with that girl.

Even though it was Black Friday, Qiu Fengyu still went for his morning run. He didn't expect Tim to show up, but the young man appeared anyway, gave Qiu a high-five, and silently led the way. After rounding a corner, they ran into Sheriff Coffin.

"Hi, Coffin—" Qiu Fengyu initiated the greeting; he had grown to really like the people here. Everyone.

"Did you have a pleasant night last night?"

"Of course, a feeling like never before. It was wonderful!" Qiu Fengyu laughed. "It's just... a pity you couldn't make it. I think that would have been even more interesting!"

"No—if I had gone, I would only have ruined the atmosphere!" Sheriff Coffin shook her head and smiled. "I was on duty at the station last night. You know, in this town, I'm the only one left, and all the others have families. So I let them all go home; they deserve that kind of enjoyment... time with their families."

"I'm sorry..." Qiu Fengyu said.

"It's nothing. If I could have had a Thanksgiving dinner like yours last night, that would have been... the most wonderful thing. By the way... what are your plans for today? The whole world knows today is Black Friday," Coffin changed the subject.

"Shopping, going crazy shopping, even though my finances are tight right now. But I don't want to miss my first Black Friday," Qiu laughed.

"Pity, I can't go. I have to stay on duty so those jerks can have a good holiday."

"You can't always be like this."

"I've always been like this. Ever since my father died, I haven't known what Black Friday is, or Thanksgiving. Even Christmas... Alright, conversation over. Have a good day!" Sheriff Coffin said as she jogged past Qiu Fengyu and headed forward.

Qiu Fengyu stopped and watched the spot where Sheriff Coffin disappeared, suddenly feeling that although this woman had lived in the town for a long time, she was even lonelier than he was.

"Hey, Boss, did you provoke Sheriff Coffin?" Tim whispered to Qiu Fengyu on the way back. "She left you behind all by yourself; I don't remember that ever happening before."

"It happens. Women are like the weather; they change in an instant," Qiu Fengyu shook his head and smiled at him. "Kid, you have too much to learn. You're too young."

"As if you understand women," Tim mocked. "Forget it, boss. Your view on women isn't any different from mine. Neither of us has ever dated, that's just how it is."

"You win, you little brat!"

The two parted ways when they were almost home. Tim headed to Britt's house, and Qiu Fengyu returned to the noodle shop, looking at the sign by the door—it still read "Closed."

"Hey, Qiu, hello. Sorry... we took your bed last night, but... you really should buy new sheets. They were full of all sorts of smells, and that disgusting odor... Honestly, we flipped the sheets over just so we could lie down with our clothes on."

Racy was certainly blunt.

Qiu Fengyu shrugged and turned to go to the bathroom.

"Hey, Qiu, you won't pick up any girls acting like this," Racy continued to talk loudly from the outside. Then, there was the sound of a woman laughing; it was probably April who had come downstairs. Who knew what they were laughing at.

After Qiu Fengyu finished his shower, he went upstairs to change and started preparing breakfast. It was cold noodles, and the taste was still excellent, leaving the two girls reminiscing for a long time.

"You really should go to Los Angeles and be a head chef," Racy said, doing something out of character by taking the plates to wash them. "It's a waste for you to be here. You should let more people taste your food."

"More people?" Qiu laughed. "There are enough people here."

After Racy finished and April had mopped the floor, Qiu Fengyu called Tim to invite him to go shopping together. This time, they planned to head to the larger city of Austin.

"Alright, ladies, the Thanksgiving dinner has been enjoyed, time to go home!" Qiu Fengyu said, opening the door and gesturing to Racy and April. "When the new house is built, there will be a room for you. By then, you can stay as long as you like; I won't mind."

Racy paused, surprised that Qiu Fengyu was ushering them out. Though a bit unexpected, she nodded and smiled, "Sorry, we've stayed here too long anyway. Thanks for your hospitality. If you ever go to Los Angeles..."

"I know, you'll treat me well and let me stay in your villa in Beverly Hills, right?" Qiu laughed. "I will, I'll give you a call whenever I go to Los Angeles."

Soon after, Tim arrived. Qiu Fengyu, Racy, and April walked out together.

"Alright, guys and girls, we go our separate ways now. You head back to Los Angeles. We're going to Austin. That's it." Qiu Fengyu said, gesturing to Tim.

Tim waved at the two girls, "Goodbye, Racy, hope to see you again."

"I hope so too, Tim!" Racy said, walking to her car parked next to the noodle shop. She pulled the door open, waved at Qiu Fengyu and Tim, and hopped in.

"Goodbye, Qiu! You're a good man!" April also waved at Qiu Fengyu and sat in the driver's seat.

"You too!" Qiu Fengyu replied. April had already sat in the car, so he shrugged, "Alright, goodbye, good people. Have a safe trip!" He then climbed into his own car.

Sitting in the car, watching the two women drive away, Tim suddenly said to him, "If we don't talk about women today, what topics will we find to pass the time on the road? You know, it's a three-hour drive."

"Women are the eternal topic for men!"

"Just like men are always the topic for women?" Tim tilted his head to look at Qiu Fengyu. "I want to know, when they were both sleeping in your bed last night, how were they discussing you?"

"You'll never guess."

"No, at least I can imagine one thing: the smell of your bed was enough to suffocate those two girls," Tim chuckled as he looked at Qiu Fengyu. "I'm certain of that."

"Haha, you're wrong about that, and I'm certain of that too," Qiu Fengyu started the car. "Didn't you see? Those two girls just left here alive. Let's go. There's nothing wrong with not having women; we'll live just fine." Qiu Fengyu stepped on the gas, and the car sped forward.

They sped along the road. Racy leaned her head against the window, staring blankly as the scenery outside flashed by.

"You haven't spoken for a long time!" April said to Racy.

"Really? How long?"

"About an hour. You rarely do that."

"Is that so? I often space out for an hour or two, but I haven't done it this long since I've been with you. April, I hate going back to Los Angeles. If only I could stay in the small town for a while longer..."

"Because of Qiu? Oh, come on! That doesn't seem possible!" April turned to look at Racy and laughed exaggeratedly. "Don't even think about it, Racy. You don't belong here."

"I know, that's why I can't calm down. I should get a good sleep after I get back. Honestly, the blanket last night... it really smelled. Are all men like that?" Speaking of this, a smile appeared on Racy's face.

"I don't know, you'd have to sleep with one to find out, but obviously... I haven't. Racy... come back to reality. After today, you'll be thrown back into your work, and you'll forget everything about yesterday, including that jerk... that cute jerk!" A smile tugged at the corners of April's mouth as she spoke.

Racy laughed as well. She turned on the car's music player, and music began to flow out, very distant and lingering...
