Ou Xiaolu merely spared a passing thought for his recent gains before setting them aside, as Booth had brought out his greatest haul from the world of *The Broken Scepter*.

It was a wicker suitcase, ancient and weathered, looking exactly like something a traveler from the 1920s or 30s might carry. Ou Xiaolu remembered that the protagonist of *The Broken Scepter* carried such a case, which seemed to contain all the various magical creatures he had collected.

"You didn't steal his suitcase, did you?" Ou Xiaolu asked upon seeing it.

"No, this case belongs to us," Booth explained with a smile. It turned out this wasn't actually the protagonist's case, but a quest reward Booth received after finding a specific item.

"What did you find?" Ou Xiaolu asked, curious. "It was worth this suitcase as a reward? And are all the magical creatures still inside?"

"There are no magical creatures inside. Oh, see for yourself. As for where this came from, it’s a long and tearful story. We caused so much destruction that the world's Magical Council became furious; they planned to move from New York into the mountains to hide until everyone forgot what happened. As it turns out, didn't the protagonist have that powerful magical creature that could summon rain? He gave that bird a potion capable of making the entire city lose its memory, then set it free.

"After that, our mission changed. We had to guide that bird back to its home in the Rocky Mountains. We suffered quite a lot to lead it there, and after we finally succeeded, it seemed like the spiritual energy actually rebounded."

Listening to Booth, Ou Xiaolu frowned. This felt like a compensatory measure for the world consciousness that they had destroyed.

However, Ou Xiaolu quickly pushed these thoughts aside as he saw the attributes of the suitcase. It was exactly what he needed.

[Mobile Spatial Container, Equipment Card, Purple. Can store up to 7 spaces, each no larger than 2 square kilometers and of a quality no higher than Purple. Once placed inside, the spaces are automatically protected by the container, their attributes remain unchanged, the entrance is permanently fixed to the suitcase, and the life of creatures within the spaces remains unaffected.]

In short, this suitcase could hold up to 14 square kilometers of land—land that possessed unique properties, such as snowy mountains, seabeds, or volcanic craters. Most importantly, various creatures could live on these lands. Ou Xiaolu’s character cards could also reside in this space, no longer restricted by game combat power.

Carrying this suitcase was essentially like having an entire legion by his side, which was why Ou Xiaolu felt it was perfect for him.

Thinking of this, Ou Xiaolu glanced at Booth. Booth smiled, "It's useless to me. If you want it, take it. There is one minor inconvenience, though: it cannot transform or change size. It stays this big, so if you want to take it with you, you’ll have to carry it yourself."

Ou Xiaolu was about to say it was fine and he could carry it, but seeing his missing left hand, the words died in his throat. He said awkwardly, "Let’s leave it here for now; I don’t know what I want to store in it yet."

After tallying his gains, Ou Xiaolu finally turned his attention to his experience points. Since returning from *The Broken Scepter*, he had adjusted the experience allocation for the *Purple Mansion Secret Manual* down to 30%. Today’s series of gains had not only pushed the *Purple Mansion Secret Manual* to level 7 but also brought his total experience past 1500, reaching the threshold for a level-up.

After reaching level 7, the *Purple Mansion Secret Manual* gained a new function for the *Purple Thunder Heaven Escape*: he could now take others with him during his escape by grabbing them. Of course, to prevent those with grappling skills from disrupting his flight, the requirement was that Ou Xiaolu had to be the one to actively grab the other person's arm, not the other way around. Additionally, the movement cost doubled for every extra person, but considering Ou Xiaolu only had one hand, that increase was irrelevant.

His experience was currently at 1511, meaning he could level up to level 3 whenever he wished. The only thing making him hesitate was that he didn't have many cards on hand and hadn't found a suitable character card yet. He was debating whether to use a Resurrection Stone to revive a divine corpse and use it as his avatar. That way, his avatar's strength would be immense, and he was already planning to use some high-quality items and skills to further enhance its combat power.

Just as he was calculating this, a phone rang. Disturbed, Ou Xiaolu looked toward the sound with some annoyance, only to realize it was Charles’s phone.

Charles picked up the call, and after only a few words, he dropped the phone to the ground. Seeing his strange expression, Ou Xiaolu and Mig went over to ask what was wrong.

The usually cheerful Charles had lost his typical wit; no matter how they asked, he remained silent for a long time.

Watching Charles in his daze, Ou Xiaolu and the others realized something was seriously wrong. Ou Xiaolu said to Mig, "Move aside, let me handle this."

He slapped Charles across the face. Before Charles could react, Ou Xiaolu roared, "Wake up! Tell us what happened! There are plenty of people here who can help you!"

Charles finally snapped out of it, crying as he said, "My mom... she was hit by a car. She's at the hospital. They said she might not make it."

"Are you stupid? Which hospital? Let's go see."

Charles quickly named a hospital. Ou Xiaolu didn't know New York well, so the name meant nothing to him, but Mig understood exactly why Charles was in such a state. The hospital was on the opposite end of the city, and with it being rush hour, by the time Charles got there, his mother would likely have already passed away.

Hearing Mig explain the situation, Ou Xiaolu turned to Aro and said, "Release the Roadside Ghost and have it guide us. I’m taking Charles there."

Aro didn't question him and immediately released the Roadside Ghost.

The Roadside Ghost was sharp; the moment it appeared, it said, "I know that hospital. Whether by flying through the air or running on the ground, I can get you there."

Ou Xiaolu nodded and turned to Charles. "Charles, I'm taking you there, but the method will be uncomfortable, and you must not move. If you move, you'll definitely be thrown to your death."

Charles nodded repeatedly, promising he wouldn't move.

Ou Xiaolu stepped forward, grabbed Charles, and transformed into a streak of purple lightning, charging out into the distance.
