Everyone seemed to have their own plans.

Bai Yuxi looked a little lost and asked, “Then what should I do?”

“You?”

The members of Team Seven glanced at the cool and composed female academic star, then all broke into laughter and dispersed without saying much.

“Aren’t you guys heading to that training camp for further practice?” Bai Yuxi looked at the three who had stayed behind with him: Willy, Maya, and Xia Youyou.

Luo Fei and Su Xiaoke, one the team leader and the other the logistics support, both had plenty to take care of.

“We’re not like Drumstick and Jason, those two fight maniacs, and we’re definitely not as impulsive as you and Su Xiaoke!” Xia Youyou shrugged, glancing at Bai Yuxi. “We haven’t fully mastered the basic Overlimit Warrior courses yet, so rushing ahead is pointless.”

“We’ve just been promoted a level; now we’re F4-level trainee Overlimit Warriors.”

“Our main task right now is to get used to and consolidate our current physical condition.”

“I just realized that suddenly having a surge in physical stats is actually troublesome for us.”

“The difference in body feel is huge. Just now, because my step frequency was too fast, I almost tripped over my own feet and tumbled down the stairs…”

Because her command of Yan Language wasn’t as fluent as Willy’s chatter, Maya, who was usually more “silent,” nodded, her words a little slow as she mumbled, “Does this count as unlocking the secret art of ‘falling flat on level ground’?”

Bai Yuxi found this blonde girl possessed the unique cheerfulness, liveliness, warmth, and endearing naivety of foreign girls. Yet, due to the language barrier, though she could understand and speak fairly standard Yan Language, she often appeared silent during group conversations.

She had to translate what she heard into her native language to understand, then translate what she wanted to say back into Yan Language to express herself.

One-on-one conversations were fine, but when there were more people, by the time she caught up, the topic had already moved on.

“Rather than being tormented by the instructors at the training camp, I’d rather stay and train with you.”

“Maybe I’ll even grasp your mysterious ‘Particle Impact Fist’!”

Willy gesticulated excitedly. “After being electrocuted for half a day, I think I’m starting to feel something…”

Bai Yuxi was speechless. Glancing at the female academic star, who was busy discussing matters with Luo Fei, he felt it was more likely he’d end up as a test subject again.

But Willy’s reminder made Bai Yuxi realize he, too, should head to the training grounds and practice the inspirations he’d gained in battle.

His “Particle Impact Fist” seemed ripe for further development, such as that “Sole Burst” he’d accidentally used when escaping the underground tunnel!

Seeing that the team captain and academic star were too busy to pay him any mind, Bai Yuxi went with the other three to the training grounds on the third basement level of the team headquarters.

Together, they cleared away the cumbersome training equipment. Bai Yuxi warmed up with a few casual fighting routines, then suddenly unleashed a punch!

To Willy and the others, the space before them seemed to collapse with that punch, rings upon rings cracking outward, rippling waves of energy blasting against the tempered glass walls of the training ground with a resonant hum!

Though the energy dispersed was quite weak, Willy and the others, caught off guard, were still forced back a step by the spreading force!

“Bai! What do you call that move?”

Even though this wasn’t the first time she’d seen Bai Yuxi use his Overlimit technique, Maya still found it amazing and couldn’t help but ask.

“What do I call it?”

“If I have to name it…” Bai Yuxi paused, thought, and said, “Maybe ‘Particle Impact Fist: 1/10000–1×2×9×9’?”

“One ten-thousandth nine something something?”

The three couldn’t help but be dumbfounded. Maya asked, “Bai, do you really have to give your moves such tongue-twisting names?”

“It’s just a name!” Bai Yuxi gave a brief explanation of the move’s principle and shrugged. “It’s not like I’m going to shout the name in the middle of a battle like some anime character, so what does it matter?”

“OK~!”

“Every cool skill deserves a long enough name… Hey! Why not think of a shorter nickname?” Maya tilted her head and pursed her full lips. “I don’t want to have to rack my brain every time just to pronounce your move!”

“Then what should it be called?” Bai Yuxi suddenly felt he had a naming block. “Nine by nine?”

“Hey! How about ‘Ten-Thousand Two, Nine-Nine Form, Shield’?”

Willy suddenly exclaimed excitedly. “We can call it ‘Shield’ for short, or ‘Nine-Nine Shield’?”

“…”

Everyone looked at him speechlessly.

“That’s even worse than Xiao Bai’s original one!” Xia Youyou retorted. “Sounds like it came straight out of a cheesy, over-the-top Japanese manga!”

“Alright, alright! I know it sounds Japanese!” Willy defended himself. “I did borrow it from a certain Japanese fighting game’s move names. But don’t you think it sounds cool and clearly sums up the features of Xiao Bai’s move?”

With a sheepish grin, Willy continued, “It’s still better than Xiao Bai’s string of calculations, right? Look…”

“‘Ten-Thousand’ means ‘1/10000’ energy output; ‘Two’ is the ‘1×2’ particle impact multiplier;”

“‘Nine-Nine Form’ stands for ‘nine particle impacts by nine expansion zones’, and ‘Shield’ describes the move’s form!”

“Most importantly, this naming pattern can be applied to Xiao Bai’s other moves too, right? Like ‘Three-Three Form’ or ‘Six-Six Form’, and so on?”

“If you want to switch to ‘1/1000–1×4×10×10’, or ‘1/100–1×8×15×15’.”

The excited foreign guy continued, “You could call them ‘Thousand Four, Ten-Ten Form, Shield’ or ‘Hundred Eight, Fifteen-Fifteen Form, Shield’!”

“So by your logic, do I also need to divide my moves into ‘Ultimate Skills’ and ‘Super Ultimates’?” Bai Yuxi said, feeling exasperated. “What about this one?”

As he spoke, Bai Yuxi threw another punch, once again seeming to shatter space.

But this time, instead of dispersing, the force pierced through in layers, as if penetrating nine invisible barriers!

“Uh… how about calling this one ‘Ten-Thousand Two, Nine-Nine Form, Spear’?” the enthusiastic foreigner proposed. “A shield and a spear? All you did was convert ‘expansion’ into ‘penetration’! Just a different form.”

“That does sound interesting,” Bai Yuxi tilted his head with growing curiosity. “Watch this next move!”

He bent his knees slightly and stomped forward with explosive force, his body shooting ahead in a blur, covering a long distance so quickly it was almost impossible for the eye to follow.
