Chapter 100: A Meteor Shower

These celestial bodies varied greatly in size—some as massive as mountains, others as small as stone huts—swarming in dense hordes like locusts. Their speed was astonishing; in the blink of an eye, they formed a vast meteor shower stretching millions of miles, hurtling toward the Heavenly Spear and the remaining divine generals.

Some meteors, colossal as mountains and engulfed in fierce flames, violently struck against the Heavenly Spear pressing down on Trishna.

Instantly, thunderous explosions resounded endlessly as boundless flames erupted across the sky. Countless meteors shattered, transforming into cascades of molten lava that plummeted toward the desolate star below.

The bronze Heavenly Spear itself, after enduring countless impacts from these massive meteors, shattered into fragments and dissolved into nothingness.

The divine generals under the Spear’s command had already been drained of their magical power resisting Trishna’s enchanting influence. Now, besieged by the relentless meteor shower, they were overwhelmed—scurrying in panic, spells flying wildly, and many wounded.

The Heavenly Spear’s wielder frowned. “So this one has another trick up his sleeve? This isn’t a divine art of the Northern Polar Three Enclosures. Could he be from a world beyond this star domain?”

With that thought, he waved his hand, summoning a vast protective barrier that enveloped all on his side. He himself, of course, was unfazed by the meteor shower’s assault. Coldly, he glared at Tu Zhe and commanded, “Cease—”

Tu Zhe thought to himself, “As if I’m going to just stop because you say so. Do you think you’re my father?”

Thus, the countless meteors continued to crash headlong into the Heavenly Spear’s barrier without pause.

The Heavenly Spear’s wielder was furious but helpless. He bellowed fiercely, “I suspect you hail from another star domain. Do you dare commit murder within the Northern Polar star region, risking war between two worlds?”

Tsk—

This was clearly no mere mortal.

Tu Zhe already knew this being was a shape-shifting divine weapon, devoid of human thought or feeling. Even the ultimate blade was useless against him. So he resorted to a meteor shower instead.

Yet Tu Zhe also understood that this alone would not be enough to kill the Heavenly Spear’s wielder. After all, the divine consciousness remained untouched. With enough time, even other divine powers might not guarantee victory against the Spear’s master.

So after a fierce barrage, he withdrew his spell, smiling faintly at the Heavenly Spear.

The Heavenly Spear’s wielder was not human; he did not think as humans do. He felt no sorrow for his side’s heavy casualties. Mortals? What concern was that to him? Whether they lived or died, he cared not one whit.

---

He realized that killing this visitor from another star domain today would not be so simple. Besides, he had other plans. So he relented, saying, “I am the guardian divine weapon of the Purple Micro Enclosure, charged with eradicating the bandits of the desolate star. Why do you obstruct me?”

Tu Zhe retorted immediately, “Lord Heavenly Spear, may I ask why you destroyed my teleportation channel without cause, almost causing us to perish? Do you intend to provoke war between our two realms?”

The Heavenly Spear snorted arrogantly, “From which world do you come?”

Tu Zhe smiled, “A small place: the Western Three Realms of the heavens. I am Tu Zhe, the Celestial Son of Mount Sumeru in Renli Heaven, here to tour the Northern Polar star domain. Yet, before seeing the Three Enclosures, I was cast onto this desolate star by your hand. It seems, Lord, you are not very friendly to visitors from other worlds, haha.”

The Heavenly Spear was cold and ruthless, never admitting fault. He snapped, “If you are merely traveling, do you possess official inter-domain documents?”

Tu Zhe replied, “Of course I do. But does Lord Heavenly Spear’s Purple Micro Enclosure oversee diplomacy?”

The Spear growled in irritation, “What? No diplomatic office here means your documents are worthless? Are you here to spy on the Northern Polar star domain and sabotage it?”

Damn, this baseless accusation was as absurd as trolls on the old internet. The Heavenly Spear’s cold nature meant he would never admit error. When matters of inter-world diplomacy were at stake, his forceful accusations were expected.

Tu Zhe found it amusing.

Back in the day, it was like Japan seizing the Diaoyu Islands and then calling China’s defensive actions aggression. Politics and diplomacy were truly the realm of rogues.

Tu Zhe felt invigorated and thought, “You want to play rogue? I fear no rogue. Let’s see who plays it better.”

He smiled and asked, “If that’s so, then I ask: I recall our Western world and your Northern Polar star domain signed the ‘Non-Aggression and Friendship Treaty between the West and the North.’ Surely Lord Heavenly Spear is aware?”

The Spear replied coldly, “And what of it?”

Tu Zhe grinned, “Nothing, really. I just want to know if Lord Heavenly Spear still considers that treaty valid, and whether it deserves mutual respect and protection by both the West and the North.”

The Spear sneered, “Spit out your meaning!”

Tu Zhe arched an eyebrow. “Lord, you truly won’t express your stance on this treaty?”

---

From the outset, Tu Zhe had instructed his demon dragon guards to quietly record this dispute with audiovisual crystals. He intended to stay in the Three Enclosures for a long time, and if matters escalated irreparably, this recording might prove useful.

No matter how unruly the Heavenly Spear was, he dared not outright dismiss the treaty as worthless—though, in his heart, he thought it hardly better than worthless.

Therefore, the Spear said, “Of course I respect the formal treaty signed between the West and the North. So, what exactly do you wish to say?”

Tu Zhe thought, “Here we go, letting me talk means you’ve walked right into my trap, haha.”

He bowed slightly and said, “Lord Heavenly Spear, I recall the treaty states: ‘When one party’s personnel present valid inter-domain documents proving identity, they may enter the other party’s territory and receive protection.’ I have two questions.

First: Lord Heavenly Spear, before you destroyed my teleportation channel, did you make any effort to verify my identity?”

The Spear sneered, “The Three Enclosures experience strange void fluctuations. I have the duty and responsibility to maintain the stability and security of any star domain or region within our boundaries.”

Tu Zhe smiled, “Of course, no one says you lack that duty.

But I wonder: does maintaining stability and security include indiscriminately attacking any spatial fluctuation without inquiry or verification? For example, when your Five Emperors or the Heavenly Emperor travel long distances?”

Damn, how vicious!

No matter what, the Spear dared not admit that. Attacking the Five Emperors or Heavenly Emperor would be suicidal.

The Spear was tempted to kill Tu Zhe on the spot. This non-human, humanoid divine weapon was essentially a spirit-possessed artifact—little scheming, quick to resort to force.

But the nearby Xuan Ge stopped him. Xuan Ge was also a spirit-possessed artifact, but far more prudent than the Heavenly Spear.

Even among spirit-possessed artifacts, there were differences.
