Volume One, Chapter Fifty-Two: The Three Enchantresses of Love, Pleasure, and Greed
Chapter Fifty-Two: The Three Demonic Sisters of Love, Pleasure, and Greed
Mara was momentarily stunned, staring wide-eyed at Tu Zhe.
Tu Zhe looked at the sisters on the floor, who had just woken up only to stumble and fall again. He asked the dog in confusion, “Hey, my dear dog, am I really that terrifying?”
The dog nodded solemnly. “It’s not just terrifying, it’s very terrifying. Your divine sense is already at the True Lord level, and at quite a high level at that. And as for manipulating time—well, I’ve never heard of anyone more powerful than you. Still, Rogue, I’m so proud, my beauty’s about to make my nose run… except I don’t have a nose for it to run from…”
Now it was Tu Zhe’s turn to be dumbfounded.
Damn, was I really this powerful?
Just three days? No, thirty thousand days? A new face for an old self? Trading a musket for a cannon?
A True Lord level divine sense?
A time power no one can rival?
No way, I’m really timid and very humble, heh heh heh…
The dog, watching the secretly astonished and pleased Tu Zhe, reminded him, “Rogue, mind your image. You’re being a bit too lecherous…”
Yes, the dog was right. Sometimes, you have to put on airs—stand tall, strike the pose of a master.
But what exactly should a master look like?
Standing on a high place? Robes fluttering?
Gazing into the cosmos? Holding a blade, asking oneself: Three days to hone the blade, its frosty edge yet untested; today I show it—who has grievances?
For heaven’s sake, isn’t that a bit much? It’s exhausting just thinking about it.
Mara finally regained his composure and said to Tu Zhe, “Don’t get cocky, kid. Your divine sense may be strong, and you have some ability to protect yourself, but you’re still a hundred thousand yojanas away from being a real True Lord.”
Tu Zhe adopted a humble posture. “Master’s teaching is right; your disciple wouldn’t dare be arrogant.”
Mu Xiuloutuo asked, “Do you have any other surprises for us?”
Tu Zhe replied, “Anything else? I don’t think so. Well, maybe… I seem to have refined part of the King of Divine Artifacts, but besides that, not much else.”
Mu Xiuloutuo was startled. “Refined part of it? How much? What fraction? How many small worlds’ worth of power?”
Tu Zhe replied awkwardly, “That’s hard to quantify, isn’t it?”
Mara said, “Can’t you give an estimate?”
Tu Zhe hesitated, “An estimate? Well, maybe about one percent, or even less—let’s say one percent. It definitely can’t be more…”
Mara and Mu Xiuloutuo were both speechless. One percent—well, that’s the power of a small world. Damn, the power we’ve cultivated over millions of years is only half a small world more than this kid.
At this level, even with some shortcomings here and there, his overall strength is about on par with a decent Divine King.
Divine King—in just a few days?
Looking at the two Lords, Tu Zhe realized his own power had grown wings. At the very least, he could feel every cell in his body brimming with explosive power—not to mention the Brahma energy guided into the seed within his Alaya-vijnana.
He could sense that the Brahma energy was constantly nourishing his soul, making it stronger and more resilient moment by moment.
Just then, Mu Xiuloutuo’s daughters rushed up to him, each one screaming:
“Rogue, you’re our idol—!”
“Rogue, you’re the most handsome and charming hero of the Three Realms—!”
“Rogue, can I get your autograph—?”
The dog was flustered at the side. “That’s my one and only Rogue—!”
At that moment, the crystalline wall of Yama Heaven was breached, and three alluring figures suddenly appeared in the great hall, bowing gracefully before Mara and introducing themselves.
“Trishina, demoness of love, pays respects to the Lord!”
“Roti, demoness of pleasure, pays respects to the Lord!”
“Luojia, demoness of greed, pays respects to the Lord!”
The appearance of Mara’s three great demonesses stunned everyone in the hall—even Mu Xiuloutuo’s daughters were left dazed and spellbound.
Trishina, the demoness of love, ruled over desire, famed as the goddess of love and lust in the Realm of Desire—albeit a demon goddess.
Speaking of desire, the sentient beings of the Three Realms differ from realm to realm, even from day to day.
Among the four continents, the Southern Jambudvipa, Eastern Purvavideha, and Western Aparagodaniya all have marriage customs, but only the Northern Uttarakuru does not—people there, if they fancy each other, simply pair off under a tree. This is the way of desire in the human world. But generally speaking, it’s much like ours—men and women unite, yin and yang meet, and at the height of pleasure, impurity is released and desire is thus satisfied.
The dragons, golden-winged birds, and the Asura realm also have marriage, but when men and women unite, what’s released in pleasure isn’t impurity, but wind and air. With the release of this wind and air, desire is satisfied.
In the six heavens of the Realm of Desire—Heaven of the Four Great Kings, Trayastrimsha, Yama, Tusita, Joyous Heaven, and the Heaven of Free Enjoyment of Others’ Transformations—as well as the demon heaven between the Desire and Form Realms, there are also sexual unions, though the methods differ greatly.
In the Heaven of the Four Great Kings and Trayastrimsha, men and women’s union brings forth wind and air.
In Yama Heaven, simply holding hands brings supreme pleasure.
In Tusita Heaven, union is achieved through the meeting of minds—whether this counts as spiritual or mental intimacy, who can say?
In Joyous Heaven, prolonged gazing into each other’s eyes, the exchange of glances, brings about bliss.
In the Heaven of Free Enjoyment of Others’ Transformations, verbal communication alone can bring about supreme pleasure. (Now what kind of seductive, honeyed words must those be!)
In the Demon Heaven, simply meeting each other’s gaze is enough to achieve bliss—much the same as the Joyous Heaven.
With Trishina, the goddess of love and lust, appearing here in Yama Heaven, Mu Xiuloutuo was overwhelmed. If she starts to seduce and flirt, won’t this place descend into chaos? Any male celestial who lays eyes on her will surely submit to her overwhelming allure.
Fortunately, Mu Xiuloutuo’s soul was firm and his will unwavering; otherwise, he too would not withstand the demoness’s seductive gaze.
Meanwhile, the yaksha guards outside the door, upon seeing the three demonesses—without even being directly seduced—were instantly overwhelmed, bending over, postures obscene, pitching tents, toppling all over the place, mouths agape, tongues tied, collapsing in droves.
As for Tu Zhe, to his shame, although he had attended college in his previous life, he was merely a butcher at heart. Though he lost his virginity in college, he hadn’t known many women. Now, reborn as a heavenly prince, he was still a virgin. Faced with this goddess of love, his mouth went dry, his heart pounded like a drum, and a certain place stood at attention—a rather indecorous sight.
Luckily, the dog, seeing this, used a paw to yank at Tu Zhe’s hair, the pain snapping him back to his senses. Once his mind cleared, his formidable willpower asserted itself—a single moment’s meditation, visualizing pure waters cleansing his spirit, and he regained his composure, feigning indifference with the air of a master.
Damn it, temptation? Haven’t I seen Western or Japanese AV stars? If I say I’m not looking, I’m not looking. If I say I’m not reacting, I’m not reacting.
Mara, observing Tu Zhe’s reaction, nodded approvingly—good, no more lecherous blade hanging over your head.
As for Trishina, dressed in exquisite Brahma silks, her garments alternately revealing and concealing, her charms half-shown, half-hidden; hair piled high, temples shrouded in mist; starry eyes glancing coquettishly, autumn waves rippling; nose sculpted like jade, lips delicately red; long neck, slender waist, full breasts, rounded hips, walking with a sway that was pure enchantment. (The author jokes: Have I ever described a beauty this way before? A bit too lustful, perhaps? But as the ancient saying goes, “Even a gentleman can appreciate beauty.” Which of you, brothers and sisters, does not?)
At this moment, however, before her master, Trishina behaved like a tame housecat, her eyes downcast, not daring to glance about, standing demurely beside the demonesses of pleasure and greed, all three affecting innocence as they awaited Mara’s command.
The dog, meanwhile, eyed the three demonesses askance, making a running commentary:
Oh, too tall, much too tall.
Whoa, too perky, way too perky.
Hmph, too revealing, really too revealing.
Tsk, tsk, tsk…
In short, she found endless faults with the trio, no matter how she looked at them.
