Chapter 126: The Orange Child Emerges from Nowhere
An army of billions of incarnations?
Tu Zhe immediately bared his teeth in exasperation.
Damn it, Butcher, couldn’t you be a little more greedy?
What sort of realm did one have to reach to possess a divine ability capable of producing billions of incarnations? Not even a Great Emperor could do it, surely. A Heavenly Venerable? Probably not. A True Lord… still not enough, surely.
As far as Tu Zhe knew, he had heard of such a divine ability as “billions of incarnations.” The question was: who actually possessed it?
As far as he knew, there were indeed those who possessed incarnations. For instance, when his master had introduced him to the various heavens of the Buddhist Three Realms, he had said that the Buddha did in fact possess incarnations—but no one really knew how formidable they were.
Another relatively well-known example was Taiyi, one of the three ancient gods of the Purple Tenuity Enclosure. He possessed incarnations as well. It was said that he had once incarnated as the Heavenly Venerable Who Rescues from Suffering in the Ten Directions, riding a nine-headed lion and scattering boundless rays of treasure-light as he traveled about helping people attain immortality.
But that was only ten incarnations, wasn’t it?
How great was the difference between ten and billions? I don’t know. Perhaps you do.
Even possessing ten incarnations would make one an existence who had defied the heavens themselves, wouldn’t it?
It was said that someone who had mastered the art of Transforming One Breath into the Three Pure Ones could send three incarnations striding arrogantly across the myriad heavens and worlds.
Billions? Butcher, are you all right?
Take Taiyi, for example. Aside from the Three Pure Ones, he was already one of the most supreme powers in existence—a Perfected One. Count them on your fingers: could you find even a hundred Perfected Ones throughout the Three Realms and the myriad heavens?
After cursing himself thoroughly, Tu Zhe continued observing the changes within his own Hidden Treasury of Alaya Consciousness. It was not that he did not want to concern himself with what was happening outside. He simply could not do anything about it. He was still being roasted on the griddle, after all.
By now, the battle in the Green Wilderness Wonderland had grown increasingly fierce. Many people had been dragged into it.
Tang Youyou’s injuries were by no means light, but the fellow was acting as though he had swallowed an aphrodisiac. The more blood he saw, the more violent and frenzied he became. He unleashed one magical treasure after another, beating Little Lei Lei until he was drenched in blood, yet he showed no sign of stopping.
Jiang You watched Tu Zhe and wondered inwardly, What’s wrong with my brother? How can he be so calm? His own younger brother is practically being beaten to death, yet he’s sitting there with his eyes closed, calmly resting. Such composure… honestly, it leaves me speechless.
By now, Doggie had also sensed that something was wrong with Tu Zhe. He no longer had the mind to go over and help with the cursing. Instead, he kept circling Tu Zhe anxiously, thinking, What’s happened to Big Brother Rascal? Should I make him open his eyes? Should I call him? Or not? Call him? Don’t call him?
The choice between calling out and remaining silent had driven Doggie nearly mad as well.

At this point, all the demon dragon guards had been beaten by Tang Youyou’s attendants. Every one of them was injured, and each was covered in blood.
It was a joke, really. Two of the opposing guards were at the Heavenly Venerable realm, and they were the ones pummeling the demon dragon guards. Even without counting the other great powers, those two alone could have wiped them out in a matter of minutes.
The two Heavenly Venerables were merely trapping them, however, and did not dare casually take their lives. Tang Youyou could act without restraint, but they did not possess the authority to kill so recklessly. Because the two Heavenly Venerables had held back in this way, the demon dragon guards were at least spared the danger of death.
Little Lei Lei, however, was clearly nearing his limit.
It was not that his cultivation was insufficient. His magical treasures were simply inferior.
As the son of the Little Heavenly King of Mount Sumeru and Tu Zhe’s younger brother, he should not have lacked magical treasures. But first, the Jin brothers had always been heavily suppressed—where would they have found any good treasures to give him?
Tu Zhe did have some. The problem was that most of the treasures in his Sumeru Ring were vessels used to produce Heavenly Suddha nectar and wine. He possessed very few treasures truly suited for combat.
And even among those few, could they possibly compare with Tang Youyou’s?
Nearly all of Tang Youyou’s magical treasures had been bestowed by his maternal uncle, the Jade Emperor, from the Divine Empyrean Jade Capital. Treasures of that level were far beyond anything refined by the master craftsmen of Mount Sumeru’s Heavenly Treasure Pavilion. Even if the latter chased after them on horseback, they would never catch up.
And so the problem arose: if things continued this way, Little Lei Lei would inevitably fall victim to Tang Youyou.
Even if Tang Youyou killed Little Lei Lei, would the Jade Emperor Haotian make his nephew pay with his life merely because you were a foreign Little Son of Heaven?
What a joke. You don’t know what it means to bite back, do you? They would simply place the charge of provoking trouble without cause in the North Star Domain and killing members of the royal family upon your head. Would you die unjustly?
Therefore, Lord Thunder Ancestor could no longer remain uninvolved.
As for this battle, if the Three Witches were to intervene, everyone on Tang Youyou’s side below the level of Heavenly Venerable would be utterly defeated. Trisna’s Bewitching Heart That Turns All Beings Upside Down was an ability that had once ensnared even the Buddha. Defeating a mere group of Great Emperors would naturally be effortless.
But although Trisna was frantic with anxiety, she did not dare disobey Tu Zhe’s wishes. The mental message he had sent them moments ago had been a clear instruction not to intervene.
And yet he himself had closed his eyes and was resting there.
What on earth was going on?
At that moment, Tu Zhe was immersed in the wondrous state of insight brought about by the Gourd Child’s transformation and the nine-colored divine radiance released by the seed in the Hidden Treasury. Comparing what he was witnessing with the marvelous theories recorded in the Secret Canon of the Consciousness Treasury, he repeatedly contemplated them and gained a great deal.
As for the Gourd Child, his transparent body had now grown nearly a fist’s breadth taller. Countless traces related to the Dao were woven through the patterns of his translucent muscles. Tu Zhe felt that those fine textures were mysteriously interlacing into a vast network, while some nine-colored liquid flowed through channels that appeared to be meridians.
What looked like muscle was actually the condensation and mutation of Brahma qi.
Tu Zhe did not dare assert that this was yet another form of evolution, but he knew for certain that the Gourd Child’s body had become tougher and possessed inexhaustible tensile strength.
In other words, the materialization of this primordial spirit was essentially complete.
More wondrous still, boundless nine-colored talismans continually flashed deep within the Hidden Treasury. They clung to the Gourd Child’s body, then abruptly entered him and vanished without a trace.
Tu Zhe saw a smug, satisfied smile spread across the Gourd Child’s face.
Damn, you little brat. What exactly have you gained? Are you so happy you could die in your sleep?
At the same time, Tu Zhe noticed that the miraculous seed opened its mouth once more. The phantom image of a divine beast appeared amid furious roars and struggles, as though it were about to give birth. The seed was positioned at the abdomen of the beast’s illusory form.

At last, in the instant when the divine beast’s roars and struggles became violent beyond measure, an orange beam of light burst from the seed’s mouth.
With a single flash, another naked little child appeared—one who looked almost exactly like the Gourd Child.
Tu Zhe was overjoyed.
He did not dare say that he would have billions of incarnations. As long as he had several primordial-spirit sons, he would be satisfied.
Satisfied? Had he really stopped believing that old saying about how the human heart was never content, just as a snake could swallow an elephant?
Did you believe that?
At any rate, I certainly did not.
The Orange Child looked around in every direction for quite some time before noticing the Gourd Child sleeping soundly nearby. His bright eyes flickered several times, and he tiptoed over. Squatting beside the Gourd Child, he gazed at him with great interest.
After a while, the child stood up, raised one tiny foot, and prepared to stomp on the Gourd Child’s face.
Just then, Tu Zhe shouted, “You dare—”
Tu Zhe’s shadow appeared within his own sea of consciousness.
The child blinked at him for a long while. Reluctantly lowering his little foot, he pouted and said in a childish voice, “Little Daddy, is it?”
Tu Zhe nearly toppled over backward.
What did he mean by “Little Daddy”? The Gourd Child called him “Old Man” every time.
Tu Zhe therefore put on a dignified expression and said, “Can’t you speak properly? Don’t you know that children must respect their parents? Call me Old Man. Got it?”
The child curled his lip disdainfully.
“Tch! You’ve only been alive for two and a half days. Having the nerve to call yourself a father is shameless enough, and now you want to be called Old Man? Honestly. Answer if you feel like it. If you don’t, then Little Daddy won’t hear a thing, hmm-hmm-hmm…”
The black lines on Tu Zhe’s forehead grew considerably thicker.
What kind of son was this?
He was practically a little bandit.
Tu Zhe planted one hand on his hip and, imitating Doggie, pointed at the child while cursing.
“You unfilial brat! Just wait until three days from now. I’ll beat the shit out of you…”
