Volume One, Chapter Eighty-Six: Shocking All the Realms of Desire
Chapter 86: Shaking the Multiverse of the Desire Realm
Lotus Leaf—
After a moment of shock, Mara Vashana quickly regained his composure, his heart pounding with wild excitement. Damn, an emperor has just perished! My disciple—who among you can claim such a feat?
Lotus Leaf!
Countless celestials of the Desire Realm could scarcely believe their eyes: a mighty being at the emperor level had been annihilated in the blink of an eye. This instant destruction signaled the end of an era over the Great Salty Sea. Even if the Naga clan were not exterminated by other races, it would be near impossible for them to survive here any longer. At the same time—
A new era, a new age, was dawning before our eyes. With the decline of the Naga, the Great Salty Sea would enter a period of relative peace. We have every reason to pay the highest homage to Tu Zhe, the little celestial prince of Renli Heaven.
Tu Zhe, the little celestial prince, is the pride of Renli Heaven; the pride of all six heavens of the Desire Realm; and above all, my pride, Mara Vashana’s. Let us rejoice together—
Billions of celestials in the Desire Realm shouted in unison:
Glory to Tu Zhe! Glory to Tu Zhe! Glory to Tu Zhe—
The Little Celestial King’s Palace of Jin Mu boiled with celebration. The Jin brothers wept tears of joy; the shouts of Shudra, Yetkala, and the other yakshas echoed through the halls.
Shanfa Hall roared with jubilation. The ordinary celestials of Mount Sumeru knew nothing of the battle’s inner workings; they only knew that their little celestial prince had triumphed, brought peace to the Great Salty Sea, and honor to Renli Heaven.
Many little celestial kings who had risen to power did not know whether to laugh or cry. Since Tu Zhe’s birth, they had stayed close to the old emperor, doing everything in their power to suppress Jin Mu and his son. Their own sons had followed Huluzhina, even ganging up on Tu Zhe. Now, those sons hung their heads in shame, hiding behind others, trembling as if walking on thin ice.
Meanwhile, the less fortunate little celestial kings rushed to the Little Celestial King’s Palace to offer congratulations, their pent-up frustrations finally released in laughter.
At that moment, Indra let out a long breath, rose to his feet, and slowly began to applaud.
Shanfa Hall fell silent.
The old emperor looked around at the assembled multitudes of the heavens, his voice majestic and commanding:
Celestials of Renli Heaven and Mount Sumeru, billions strong, we have witnessed with joy as our own little celestial prince Tu Zhe, by his strength alone, has defeated the Naga clan, confiscated the clan’s twenty-three mightiest saints, slain the emperor-level demon Dragon King Taitoulaizha in an instant, and annihilated dozens of saint-level assassins.
With this single battle, the chaos that has plagued the Great Salty Sea for years has at last given way to peace. The honor and glory belong solely to the son of our Little Celestial King Jin Mu, sworn brother to Lady Yuanyi, and my own brother-in-law—Tu Zhe.

At this time and place, my heart brimming with excitement, I hereby, on behalf of the billions of celestials of Renli Heaven, on behalf of the thirty-two little celestial kings of Mount Sumeru, and in my capacity as Lord of Heaven, extend my warmest congratulations and highest commendation to our little celestial prince Tu Zhe for his brilliant achievements.
Let us welcome the pride of Renli Heaven with the greatest enthusiasm—
Tu Zhe, the little celestial prince!
With a sweep of his sleeve, the old emperor summoned a mighty wind that swept across Mount Sumeru, the Four King Heavens, and the Great Salty Sea.
This was called: The Sweep.
All the fallen blossoms and drifting clouds were cleared away by the sweep of his robe.
This was called: The Purge.
Suddenly, the sky was filled with the four great celestial flowers—mandarava, maha-mandarava, manjusaka, and maha-manjusaka—blooming in profusion.
On the ground, countless lotus blossoms of every hue, both of the land and of the water, burst into bloom, each as large as a carriage wheel, radiating precious light and paving a floral road all the way to Tu Zhe’s feet above the Great Salty Sea.
This was called: The Bloom.
At this moment, the blade in Gourd Boy’s hand shrank back to an inch in length. With a mischievous giggle, he dove into Tu Zhe’s arms, calling out in a childish voice, “Papa, I’ve just slain an old snake in an instant! Better get my reward ready. But I’m so sleepy now, gotta go nap, hee hee…” With that, he took a step and vanished into Tu Zhe’s brow.
Tu Zhe couldn’t help but laugh. The little rascal, stuffing himself silly—sleepy, are you? You might fool others, but do you really think you can fool your old man? Ha!
Now, only he remained above the Great Salty Sea.
With a thought, Tu Zhe released Doggie, Little Thunder, and the Three Demonesses from the Sumeru Ring.
They hadn’t the faintest idea what had just happened. Snatched away by Tu Zhe so suddenly, they knew nothing of what had transpired outside.
Doggie stared at the lotus road beneath his feet and the celestial flowers filling the sky, exclaiming in astonishment, “Whoa, what the heck happened here? Where’s the old snake demon? Did it run off or did it die?”
Before Tu Zhe could answer, the five chief attendants of Rahu materialized from the void.
These five old fellows had done their duty faithfully, recording the entire battle and broadcasting it to the heavens of the Desire Realm.
Tu Zhe smiled and bowed. “Elders, thank you for your hard work! How about a little Tianxutuo wine to help you unwind?”

The five elders quickly waved him off, saying, “No need, no need! The Lord of Heaven has paved the flower road to welcome you home—let’s not spoil the celebration. Farewell, farewell!” And in a blink, they were gone.
Before disappearing, they tossed a crystal recording of the entire battle to Doggie and the others, who immediately scrambled over it in a noisy brawl.
Finally, several heads huddled together, chattering in excitement as they watched. When they finished, they all shouted in amazement, “The old snake demon is dead!”
Doggie leapt up and pounced on Tu Zhe, tugging his cheek and grinding his teeth with glee. “Brother Rascal, you’re amazing—just… just…”
As Tu Zhe, swaggering, led his companions and Doggie back along the flower-paved road toward Mount Sumeru, old Rahu was already dead drunk in Mopodi City. Lady Yuanyi, upon seeing this, didn’t even bother to bid her father farewell but teleported straight back to Mount Sumeru.
Though the curtain was falling and the end was bittersweet, all things must come to a close.
The old emperor, on behalf of Renli Heaven, congratulated Tu Zhe and promised to reward him for his great deeds.
Tu Zhe watched the old emperor with a smile, thinking to himself, “Now that’s a case of losing both the battle and the bride. Still, your words were sincere and your expressions were rich—tsk, if you ask me, your acting skills far outshine your cultivation.”
In the end, the old emperor, accompanied by Huluzhina and the ten brothers, visited the Jin family to offer their regards and showered them with piles of celestial treasures and sacred-grade Buddhist crystals, though the Jin family was hardly moved.
After all, does our family lack such things?
Next, the old emperor hosted a banquet in Shanfa Hall with the thirty-two little celestial kings, feasting with Tu Zhe. Knowing that Tu Zhe was soon bound for the Arctic, the old emperor beat his chest and declared, “I’ll spend a fortune in Buddhist crystals to build you a temporary long-distance teleportation array. We’re family, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do.”
Tu Zhe half-joked, “Just hope there’s no ambush or mishap on the way. That last time on the Great Salty Sea… that was a bit much to handle, ha ha…”
The old emperor laughed heartily. “Don’t worry, after the way you fought last time, who in all the heavens and realms would dare cross you now?”
Inwardly, though, he cursed, “Damn, are you really scolding the monks in front of me? Not to mention that I can’t find anyone to deal with you right now, even if I could, is this really the time? Aren’t you heading to the Arctic? I’ll just see you off safely and we’ll see what happens later, alright?”
In short, everyone harbored their own calculations and schemes; not a single lamp in the hall burned without a purpose.
As the saying goes, all feasts must end. After the music and dancing, one stands alone at the riverside tower. Splendor fades quickly; loneliness endures.
Moreover, Tu Zhe still thought of the Naga saints he had cast into the other side of time.
Whatever the case, he had to go see for himself, didn’t he?
