Volume One, Chapter Sixty-Five: Plundering the Great Ashura King
Chapter 65: Plundering the Great Asura King
As he spoke, Tu Zhe sent the method for cultivating the Immortal Demon Body directly into Li Hai’s sea of consciousness.
Old Luo Hou only glanced over it briefly before leaping up in shock. “Impressive, impressive! Even if I have to ascend to the heavens or dive into the earth, I must master this art!”
“Boy, I’ll give you the Heaven-Obscuring Art.”
“So you’re that Yueyi’s sworn brother, huh? Does that make me your godfather? We really are a family now, aren’t we? No need for further words. Hurry and kowtow to your godfather, and I’ll have some benefits for you.”
Tu Zhe immediately kowtowed, acknowledging Luo Hou as his father.
Luo Hou roared with laughter, accepting Tu Zhe’s grand salute. With a wave, he sent the cultivation method for the Heaven-Obscuring Art into Tu Zhe’s mind as well.
“My son, I can sense the strength of your divine soul—astonishing, even stronger than your old man’s. Now, start cultivating here. I reckon you’ll grasp the basics in less than half a day, especially with divine-grade Brahma Crystals. Your cultivation speed will be nearly the speed of light. I’ll step out for a bit.”
With that, Luo Hou vanished. Tu Zhe paid him no mind, immediately sitting cross-legged to comprehend the Heaven-Obscuring Art.
Luo Hou, brimming with pride, appeared in the grand hall of the palace, where a group of people were staring at each other in confusion. He barked at his five closest followers, “Don’t just stand there! Send word to the heavens—tell them I’ve taken a godson. Ask everyone to look after him.”
“Damn it, that brat Indra didn’t want my daughter to have a sworn brother? Well, I’ve got myself a godson now. What can he do about it?”
The five followers were stunned at how quickly things had changed. Just moments ago, they were plotting to make things difficult for the newcomer, and now he was the king’s godson?
No matter, the king must have gained some extraordinary benefit. Better send the messages first.
Yueyi was so excited she trembled. Her father had accepted her brother—now they were truly family.
Gou Gou blinked for a long moment, then suddenly blurted out, “Sister Yueyi, now that the rascal is your brother, he really can’t flirt with you anymore, right?”
Luo Hou didn’t mind Gou Gou’s words. “Whether he can or not, if my daughter really wants to sleep with that boy, who can stop her?”
Gou Gou marched right up to Luo Hou, holding out a little paw. “Hey, old monkey, now that my rascal brother’s your godson, I feel a bit shortchanged. Shouldn’t you compensate me a little?”
“I’ll compensate you, my lung! You’re just a wall between my daughter and my godson—sooner or later, there’ll be trouble because of you.”
But then, the Lord of the Underworld is pretty cute, and she’s Tu Zhe’s little sister. I suppose I ought to give her something—it’s only right as an elder.
But what to give?
She’s a ruler herself, not lacking good things. Nothing I have would interest her.
Fine, time to bleed a little.
I still have some Immortal Dew I stole and drank long ago. That’s about all I can offer.
It pains me to part with it.
With a wave of his hand, Luo Hou sent a small jade bottle into Gou Gou’s grasp. Gou Gou eyed him in suspicion. “Old monkey, you’re not just giving me some worthless trinket to fob me off, are you?”
Luo Hou nearly wept. “Worthless? Then you give me some! Just a little Immortal Dew, I beg you. Have you ever seen Immortal Dew?”

“Huh?”
“Wow!”
“Wowww!”
Spit and feathers all over the ground.
Immortal Dew! And it was just given to Gou Gou? That’s not generosity—that’s a crime!
Little Lei Lei stepped forward coldly, extending a hand. “I am Qin Lei, Tu Zhe’s blood brother. I think I deserve some compensation too.”
Luo Hou, lips trembling, gritted his teeth and threw out another bottle. “Kid, you’re my ancestor. Please, disappear now. I can’t take it.”
What? Real compensation?
Well, why be polite? We sisters are Tu Zhe’s bodyguards. Surely you’d hate for anything to happen to your godson. Shouldn’t you... or better yet, just give us a bottle of Immortal Dew as compensation?
Besides, who knows when one of us might end up in bed with your son—you know how it is. So compensation is absolutely necessary, right?
Luo Hou’s lips were nearly torn from his forced smile as he flung out another bottle of Immortal Dew, howling in a broken voice, “Split it as you like—your old man has no more, wuwuwu—”
Luo Hou instantly teleported to Tu Zhe’s secluded chamber, panting for breath.
Damn it, there’s no reasoning with those brats.
Immortal Dew—across all the heavens, in the three thousand great worlds, all the mighty would kill for it.
And now I’ve just been extorted? Plundered?
But those bandits had no qualms, gulping down the dew, each sitting cross-legged to refine and absorb its immortal power.
Yueyi, having drunk plenty of Immortal Dew before, didn’t envy these bandits.
Right now, she was grinding her teeth while glaring at the three demonesses, each lost in meditation.
You dare to even think about sleeping with my brother?
I’ll make golden needles from adamantine and teach you a lesson.
I’m a master at sewing, you know.
I’ll sew up those indecent parts of yours and...
I’m so furious, I could explode...
Meanwhile, Hulu Zhi was busy placating the assassins from the Enchantment Abyss, who were demanding an explanation.
“You gave us inaccurate intelligence. Our people waited three days on the Great Salt Sea for nothing. You’d better give us a satisfactory explanation and appease our anger. Otherwise—you know what will happen.”

The assassins were furious, and the consequences would be dire.
Hulu Zhi bled heavily to pacify the assassins, and had barely caught his breath when news arrived: The Great Asura King had sent word to all the heavens, announcing he’d accepted Tu Zhe as his adopted son, and asked that all look after him.
Hulu Zhi was furious, nearly slapping his own thigh in two.
Damn it, now he’s my Fourth Aunt’s godbrother?
Does that mean I have to call him... uncle?
After scheming against him for so long, I’ve ended up a generation below him. The blow was almost too much to bear.
Hulu Zhi spat out a mouthful of blood and roared, “I refuse—!”
Indra was equally exasperated.
He too received word from his father-in-law, learning that Tu Zhe was now officially Yueyi’s godbrother.
So I’ve gained a cheap brother-in-law?
Not only did I fail to kill this cheap brother-in-law, I was played for a fool?
I suppose I should find some way to congratulate my father-in-law...
Luo Hou sipped celestial Xutuo wine as he waited for Tu Zhe to finish his meditation.
As night fell, Tu Zhe opened his eyes. Stars swam in their depths, and traces of the Dao flickered across them.
Luo Hou asked, “Well? Have you grasped it?”
Tu Zhe nodded. “Godfather, I’ve mastered it. All that’s left is to practice until I’m proficient.”
Luo Hou nodded in approval, then tossed Tu Zhe a large gourd filled with Celestial Immortal Dew. “Drink up. This spatial gourd holds dozens of tons of Immortal Dew. Half a ton or a ton will suffice—any more would be wasted. The rest is yours to use as you please.”
Tu Zhe drank and spent another half hour absorbing its power, then opened his eyes. His speed at refining was extraordinary, even Luo Hou was somewhat astonished.
The more Luo Hou looked at his godson, the more he liked him. “Son, do you know that your father’s Heaven-Obscuring Art can do more than just block fate? It has other abilities.”
Tu Zhe replied, “Are you referring to your comet and meteor magic, formed from your dragon tail, that can disrupt heavenly patterns and reverse the trajectories of stars?”
Luo Hou nodded. “You’re heading to the North Pole soon. My comets and meteors roam all the heavens and worlds—there are quite a few in the North as well. At a crucial moment, they can be of great help to you.”
Tu Zhe was stunned. “How could I possibly command them?”
Luo Hou extended a finger, summoned a drop of heart’s blood, and sent it shooting into Tu Zhe’s brow, where it vanished without a trace.
“From now on, you can fully command all the comets and meteors as you wish. Do you know what this means?”
